The fans for the first official televised RWF show, even more of them than the dark show are here now and after seeing the matches that were put on, they were very anxious to see what these superstars could do in front of the whole nation. The banter and random cheers could be heard loud throughout the entire ring area and the show hadn’t even started yet, and then it all changed. The entrance music hit and everyone stopped what they were doing and went nuts!
Runaway by Hail The Villain blares through the arena and the fans are all up to their feet. The camera watches the stage as the mini fireworks show goes off for the entrance and then goes around the arena showing all the fans who had bought various t-shirts just based off some filmed promos that had made their way to youtube.
Frank Roberts: “Hello there wrestling fans and welcome, I’m Frank Roberts-“
Steve Richardson: “And I’m Steve Richardson and this is the first official RWF live Show!”Frank Roberts: “We’ve got a lot of great matches in store for you tonight, but the most exciting part about it is, each of these matches are part of a tournament. That tournament being for the RWF World Heavyweight Championship!”Steve Richardson: “That’s right, Frank! And we have got some great match-ups tonight. Some of the greats that you might know from indy federations around the world have been chosen to come here. Matches that fans have put together as ‘top matches they’d like to see’ online will happen here tonight."Frank Roberts: “And it all happens tonight, right here!”The camera finishes its cycles through the audience and then ends up on the stage right as the music hits.
Blood Red Sandman by Lordi starts and it’s the sound of an eerie music box playing through slowly. Then, after about 20 seconds the guitar part comes in and Max Cranson comes out from backstage, at the top of the stairs in the bleachers.
Ring Announcer: “This match is scheduled for one fall and is the first match in the RWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament! Introducing first, weighing in at 260 pounds! Maaaaaaaax Crannnsonnnnn!”The crowd goes crazy, reaching out to get highfives or just too touch him as he walks by. He ignores them with a smirk on his face walking, carrying himself like he’s a tough guy and he knows it. He eventually reaches the barricade and uses one arm for balance as he hops over it. As his feet hit the ground the lights around the arena go out, the music still playing. After a few seconds, the lyrics to the song say “I’m the Blood Red Sandman coming home” and then the lights come back on, however now they are red colored, and Max is down on one knee in the ring with his arms in the air and his head facing upward. He then jumps up to his feet and marches back to a turnbuckle and gets on it, pointing to himself and yelling things to the crowd as the music dims down and the lights go back to normal.
Insomniac by Capture the Crown starts up with the techno stylings and the titantron comes to life. It first shows William looking down at the ground and slowly looks up. Then it goes to static and when it comes back he’s a little closer. It repeats this a couple more times, Frost getting closer and closer each time. Then, the guitar part of the music hits and the titantron shows him standing with his head facing up and his arms straight out, and when you look down he is actually standing on the stage in that exact position.
Ring Announcer: “And his opponent, weighing in at 236 pounds! William Frooooost! The titantron then goes on playing as he begins his descent down the ramp. This week his face is half painted as it had been on his last segment and his hair perfectly combed/parted. He walked slowly but with a purpose, ignoring the fans as he went. He reached the ring and just rolled in under the bottom rope. He then walked over and leapt up to the top rope, landing in a sitting position facing inward, and glaring at his opponent for the night, Max.
The ref then enters the ring, as Max circles the ring, his eyes staying on Frost, who merely tilts his head with an amused look on his face while he sits atop the turnbuckle. The ref then has the bell rung and the match is underway, however William just sits atop the turnbuckle. Max starts yelling at William to get down and wrestle him and William just stares. Finally, Frost points down to the barricade to his right and Max looks at him like he’s crazy. William then points again and Max walks over to the ropes and looks down where Frost is point, to see a dented chair and spray painted on it are the words “The Gift”. Max then starts to turn around only to be hammered down to the ring, as William leaps off the top rope and lands a double axe handle across the back of Cranson.
Steve Richardson: “What a cheap shot! Frost using that chair as a distraction then hits Cranson from behind!”Frank Roberts: “Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant planning Frost! You can tell who really wants to win this title!"Steve Richardson: “There is more to being champ than just winning the title by any means necessary, Frank.”Frank Roberts: “If you’ve got what it takes to win the title, Steve. Then, you’ve got what it takes to be champ."Frost, then gets Cranson to his feet and bashes his head off the turnbuckle, then does it again, and again and again, before throwing Cranson down against the mat. William then puts Carson’s head through the bottom and middle ropse and then puts his knee onto Carson’s back. He then pulls the bottom rope up and pushes down with his knee, choking Carson. The ref begins to count and William lets go at 4 then rolls Cranson over and covers him. 1..2- but Carson kicks out at two then goes back to holding his throat.
Frank Roberts: “Frost is really taking it to Cranson here. I wonder if Max is gonna be able to make any sort of recovery.”Steve Richardson: “After a CHEAP SHOT like that, I don’t know, Frank.”William gets Max to his feet and then irish whips him, but instead of letting him go to run across the ring, he pulls him back and then clotheslines Max down. He keeps the arm held though and pulls Max back to his feet, doing the pull-back clothesline to him again, then lifts Max to his feet again. Only this time, after the pullback, Max manages to duck the clothesline and then wraps his arms firmly around the waist of Frost and launches him backward, hitting a German Suplex!
Steve Richardson and Frank Roberts: “Woah!”Frank Roberts: “How did Max manage that one?”Steve Richardson: “He’s got the heart of a true champion, that’s how!”However, this just seems to anger as he gets back to his feet holding the back of his neck. He approaches Max who is down on one knee nursing his neck, and then throws a punch as William gets close. William takes the hit and throws an elbow strike that connects with Max’s head. Max stumbles back and Frost closes the distance going for another elbow strike, but is offset by a big European uppercut from Max. William stumbles back a few steps and then Cranson takes a few steps towards him and hits another European uppercut. William then stumbles back again and Cranson runs the opposite way and rebounds. William is ready and throws a big clothesline, but Cranson ducks it and rebounds again. William then turns around and bends down, waiting to hit a back body drop, but instead gets hit with a devastating enzuigiri that drops him to the mat slowly.
Steve Richardson: “My God! What a shot! I’m not sure Frost will be getting up from that one.”Max slowly crawls over to Frost and rolls him over and covers him. 1…2…- but Frost manages to kick out. Cranson then remembers how Frost started the match and his face becomes furious. He lifts William from the ground reverse DDT style and holds him in that position then starts clubbing William’s chest with his forearm, after 7 or 8 hits he finally let’s Frost’s body fall to the ground. William lays there coughing for a moment before Max lifts him to his feet again. This time he picks William up in a bear hug, but instead of holding him for a submission he just charges forward and slams William back first into the turnbuckle. Max then lifts Frost up to the top rope and jumps up to the second rope, not far after. He quickly hooks Frost suplex-style then hits him with 6 punches to the ribs before climbing up to the top rope and finishing the superplex. William sits up and holds his lower back, pain show on his face, but joy still in his eyes. Max however, still angry about the start to the match does not cover but instead moves around to the legs of William. He grabs William’s legs on either side of him and begins spinning. He gets 3 circles around so that William is completely in the air and then lets him go, sending William through the air across the mat. William hits and then rolls out under the bottom rope.
Steve Richardson: “Max showing some signs of life, not letting that cheap shot at the beginning get to him.”Frank Roberts: “And Frost making a brilliant move by escaping to quiet Max’s momentum.”Max then runs over and baseball slides out of the ring, under the bottom rope and heads for William who is now using the announce table to bring himself to his feet. Max charges and hits a dropkick from behind that sends William into the side of the table. William’s body remains bent over the table after the heavy shot. Max then rolls into the ring, to restart the count and then walks over to the ropes. William pulls himself off the table and turns around slowly, Max then springboards off the top rope and hits a UFO (Springboard Superkick) on William Frost! The crowd goes crazy at the sight of such a high impact move and William’s body is sent into, upon and over the announce table, ending up behind it.
Steve Richardson: “Looks like Max is starting to take out his frustrations now.”Frank Roberts: “C’mon Frost! Don’t let him toss you around like that!”Max goes around behind the table and start to pick William up, but gets a kick right in the shin that causes him to fall forward, and at the same time William raises his knee up. The knee connects with the groin of Max who then howls in pain and rolls off of William holding himself. Since they are all bundled up behind the table the ref doesn’t see it and just continues the count out.
Steve Richardson: “Was that another cheap shot?! Did Frost hit a low blow?!”Frank Roberts: “Of course not! He’s clearly just the better man!” William quickly rushes over to the ring and rolls in and sits there for a moment looking over to the table where Max was laying and then back down at the ring as the ref yells “8!” William looks again and then back as the ref says “9” then gets a wicked scowl on his face as he rolls out starting the count over again. William walks over and lifts Max to his feet, then rams him back first into the barricade. He then follows up by smacking Max’s head off the announce table. After that, he irish whips Max toward the ring, luckily Max has enough state of mind to slide into the ring instead of slamming into the apron and William follows in right behind him. Max starts to get up, still holding his groin and William forces him to his feet. William then grabs both of Max’s arms and hooks them underneath his own then starts headbutting Max repeatedly. He hits about 6 trapped headbutts before letting go of Max’s arms. As Max starts to fall, William pushes him causing him to rebounds off the ropes, and then he hits Max with a powerslam and covers him. 1…2…th- but Max somehow manages to will his shoulder off the mat and continues the match.
Steve Richardson: “Well, if nothing else we’ve learned what tremendous willpower Max Cranson has. Despite two cheap shots he is still keeping himself in the match.”Frank Roberts: “Yeah, yeah a true hero. Can we focus on the man winning the match Steve?”Steve Richardson: “Sure, Frank… We’ll do that…”Frost then lifts Max up to his knees and then gives Cranson a slap across the face. The crowd goes “Ooooooh!” and Max seems to get an angered look on his face. William then hits him with another slap and turns around and laughs as he takes a couple steps before turning around to face Max again.
Steve Richardson: “Stop those taunting slaps! This is a disgrace!” Frank Roberts: “And look, Max seems to be getting a little angry.”William then starts spinning his fist around as if he’s winding up and then takes a couple steps toward Max and throws the big punch, but Max has other ideas. Infuriated by the slaps, he seems to have gained some adrenaline as he stands up and side steps the punch, pushing William as he sails by. The extra momentum from the push carries William to the ropes, where he rebounds and upon turning around he is hit with a superkick, courtesy of Max. William is sent through the middle rope this time, although upon hitting the ground it doesn’t look like he’s gonna be getting up anytime soon. Max gets out of the ring and grabs William by the hair, lifting him to his feet. He then, charges William forward causing him to run into the barricade, hitting gut first. He then grabs William by the back of the hair and walks him over to the ring, and smacks his head off the ring apron. He then spins William around to face him, then charges him back first into the ring apron and lets William drop to the ground after.
Steve Richardson: “Max appears to be doing much more than just trying to put William down for the three-count. He is inflicting pain, the very thing William is always talking about.”Frank Roberts: “Don’t worry, William will get to his “gifts” soon enough.”Max then stomps him a couple times before bringing William up to his feet again. Holding Frost by the hair, Max gets up onto the apron. Max then climbs in through the middle ropes and pulls William up into the air by his hair, high enough so that he can get his arm around William’s throat. He then starts to lift William up in a chokehold style, as if he was hanging William by the neck through the middle rope, but then Frost reaches up and pokes Max in the eye with his thumb. Cranson lets him go, causing William to fall straight to the ground. Max then stumbles back and accidentally rams the ref over, his elbow catching the side of the ref’s head. Cranson forgets about it though and power walks over to the ropes. He climbs out to the apron, then hops down to the floor only to be smacked across the head/chest with the chair that William had previously pointed to.
Steve Richardson: “The chair shot! While the ref is out, William is a cheater!”Frank Roberts: “Oh, what a shot! Doesn’t look like Max will be getting up from that.”Steve Richardson: “This guy has some nerve. Cheating in a tournament to become our champion?” Steve shakes his head, angered by the cheapshots but William doesn’t notice. He gives another couple chair shots to the back of Max Cranson for good measure before setting it right back where it was, having added a couple new dents to it, then he lifts Max to his feet and rolls him into the ring. William then follows him in, and forces Max up to a kneeling position and then steps back a couple steps. He looks around at the audience with a big grin on his face, as if he had just gotten a big Christmas gift, then he charges and hits a shining wizard. Max’s body stays kneeling for a couple seconds before slowly falling to the mat facedown.
Frank Roberts: “And Max is out… No way he’s getting up from that.”Steve Richardson: “This is a disgrace! That man does not deserve this win!” William then notices the ref starting to get up and goes over and helps him the rest of the way to his feet. He then, grabs the ref putting his fingers on one cheek and thumb on the other, kind of squishing the ref’s face and tells him to watch for the big finale. William then laughs as he heads over to Max’s limp body and lifts the dead weight up to a kneeling position once again. He then, grabs Max In a headlock, kind of bulldog style. With his free hand, Wiliam points to the ref and says “You better be watching!” then, puts his foot forward and kicks it back, falling forward and driving the head of Max into the mat. (Headlock Driver)
Frank Roberts: “I believe he calls that move, “The Gift””Steve Richardson: “Who cares what he calls it, he wouldn’t be hitting it if he wasn’t such a cheater!”William then giggles as he covers Max 1…2…3!
Steve Richardson: “What a shame! A damn shame!”Frank Roberts: “The better man won, Steve. The better man won.”Insomniac by Capture the Crown starts blasting over the sound system as the fans give a mixed reaction. William’s character appears to get over with some of the fans, but others dislike the fact that he won using cheap tactics. William rolls out of the bottom rope with a smile on his face and grabs the dented chair he had used to secure his victory. He then drags it behind him as he walks up the ramp, not looking left or right at all, just smiling and walking straight forward. Then, as he reaches the stage at the top of the ramp, he looks up toward the titantron where you see him doing the same thing on the screen, then it goes to static for a few seconds and comes back and he’s gone off the screen, then when you look down at the stage he’s no longer there.
Frank Roberts: “Well, now that William Frost is done showing us what it takes to become champ, we’ll head out to the next match.”Steve Richardson: “Let’s hope the next match plays out a little more fair. Stay tuned!”~The Show goes to Commercial break~~Commercial break ends ~Steve Richardson: “Welcome back ladies and gentlemen!”Frank Roberts: “The next match should be even more exciting than the first.”Steve Richardson: “That’s right it features, Slash who is quickly becoming one of the most feared superstars on the roster along with his partner Scream, and the biggest man in the RWF, Sobek.”Frank Roberts: “The man calls himself a God. I think he’s bluffing, guess we’ll find out here tonight.”Right after Frank Roberts makes his comment the music hits and golden flames shoot up from the stage as the giant Sobek walks out onto it. The flames make a giant cobra’s face behind him. He proceeds down the ramp.
Ring Announcer: “This match is set for one fall and is the second match in the RWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament! Introducing first, weighing in at 326 lbs and standing at an impressive 7 feet tall! Ssssssobek!”The fans go crazy at the sight of the big man. He walks with authority down the ramp, as if he’s got a great purpose and he knows it, then upon reaching the ring he climbs up the steel steps. He then climbs in over the top rope and moves to center ring. He moves his head left to right and repeats the motion a few times , moving his body around eerily, possibly trying to act like a cobra himself. After a few seconds of this, it’s as if he snaps out of the little trance he was in, and his arms are now up in the air and he is staring straight down. Then, he throws the arms down and flames burst up from the cornerposts and around the ring arpon and his head slowly leans back and looks toward the ceiling as he stands there taking it all in. The camera then slowly makes its way through the fans, and then ends up at the stage right in time for the next music to start playing.
You Only Live Once by Suicide Silence pumps through the P.A. system and the fans go crazy knowing exactly who was about to enter the ring. The entrance continues to play as the ring announcer does his thing.
Ring Announcer: “And his opponent, weighing in at 210 pounds! Slaaaaash!”Almost right as the announcer finished the song’s guitar part picks up and out walks Slash. He walks out to the edge of the stage right where it meets the ramp and looks out over the crowd, his eyes showing amusement, yet still holding onto their normal intensity. He then bends his head down and puts his right hand up to his forehead and slowly pulls it back over his head, slicking his silver locks over hair back as he does so. He then continues down the ramp, his eyes never leaving his opponent. The music continues to blare as he finally reaches the floor area right in front of the ring. He then bends down to one knee and lowers his head as if bowing to his opponent and then his head snaps up and glares into the beady red eyes of Sobek’s mask. Slash then charges for the ring and leaps, corkscrewing through the middle and top ropes and then lands in a crouched position, using one arm for balance support.
After a few seconds he slowly raises up to his feet, the music cutting off and the two men step toward the middle, stopping only inches apart. Sobek over a foot taller and over 100 pounds heavier than the 5’8 210 pounder, Slash. But, Slash doesn’t back down for a second as the ref has the bell rung and the match is underway.
Steve Richardson: “This match looks to heavily favor the Big Man, Sobek. The size difference is ridiculous.”
Frank Roberts: “Yes, but we also know the skills that Slash brings to the table. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if he pulled it out here.”The two hook up at center ring, but Sobek just lifts Slash off the ground and tosses him backward. Slash back rolls and eyes Sobek with the upmost intensity.
Steve Richardson: “Sobek already using his obvious size advantage.”Slash then charges forward and hits a running calf kick on Sobek who stumbles back a couple steps. Slash then moves around behind Sobek and hits a low dropkick, targeting the lower ankle area and Sobek drops to his back. Slash then charges forward and hits a running neckbreaker on the now sitting Sobek and then quickly gets to his feet.
Steve Richardson: “Woah! But, Slash not giving up so easily!” Frank Roberts: “It’s just a show to watch this guy on any given night!”Sobek holds the back of his neck as he spins around to face Slash then gets up to one knee. Slash thinks for a moment and then charges again, but Sobek’s quickness for being so big surprises him, as Sobek quickly gets to his feet and in the same motion sidesteps Slash, and pushes him with one arm. Slash runs across ring and rebounds then turns and heads back to Sobek who throws a big boot up. Slash ducks underneath it and rebounds again. Slash then notices the wide stance by Sobek and slides through his legs.
Frank Roberts: “Did ya see that Steve?! Slid right through the Big Man’s legs!”Steve Richardson: “I sure did, Frank. Quick thinking by Slash!”Before Sobek can turn around, Slash hits a chop block into the back of Sobek’s left knee and causes him to drop to one knee. He then gets up and quickly hits an enzuigiri on Sobek and causes him to fall to his stomach.
Steve Richardson: “Slash sure packs quite a BIG punch for a man of his size.”Slash then rolls the big man over and covers 1…- but only gets a one count before Sobek throws him completely off. Slash recovers quickly though and grabs Sobek’s arm as he gets up to his knees preparing to stand. He twists Sobek’s arm around and holds, but this doesn’t stop Sobek from standing completely up. Slash, still holding the arm then delivers a back kick, catching the chin of Sobek who then stumbles back. Slash then charges forward and leaps, twirling around Sobek and catching him crucifix style, then pulls the giant Sobek down onto his back and holds him crucifix style for the pin. 1…2.- but again Sobek kicks out.
Frank Roberts: “Slash just does not let up. He actually might do this here tonight!”Steve Richardson: “Slash is definitely making the size difference not a factor here.”However, slash holds the crucifix and begins pulling back on the arms of Sobek. Sobek shakes his head letting the ref know that he doesn’t want to tap, then makes his way up onto one knee.
Steve Richardson: “Amazing! Slash has turned this Crucifix takeover, not only to a pin, but then transitions it into a submission hold!”Slash continues to reel back on the arms however. Then, as Sobek gets to his feet, Slash releases his feet and uses the momentum of his body swinging down to spin around, ending up bending around so that his legs wrap around the head of Sobek and then Slash hurracaranas Sobek. However, this time Sobek would have none of it, as he catches Slash’s body with his arms and holds him in the air.
Steve Richardson: “And the size and strength of Sobek finally coming into play here.”Frank Roberts: “Let’s see what tricks Slash has up his sleeve this time.” After a second he lifts Slash up into a powerbomb style and tosses him down, not looking, and throws Slash right into a turnbuckle, back first. Sobek then falls down to a sitting position and rubs his shoulder as Slash writhes in pain on the mat, holding his lower back.
Steve Richardson: “My God! The impact, Slash’s back being DRIVEN into the steel of the turnbuckle.”
Frank Roberts: “That did not look good. Slash in some definite trouble now.”Sobek and Slash reach their feet at the same time and Sobek marches in toward Slash, who then goes for a drop toe hold, to possibly bounce Sobek’s head off the turnbuckle, but Sobek uses the ropes to keep his balance then pulls a foot free and kicks it out hitting the head of Slash. He does this 3 more times before reaching down and grabbing Slash by the throat. Slash notices the wide stance again and tries to slide through the legs of Sobek again, this time however Sobek is able to hold on and reaches down with his other hand, also grabbing the throat of Slash with this one.
Frank Roberts: “Uh oh! This time the sneaky tactics of Slash not working and he’s caught by Sobek!”
Steve Richardson: “What evil intentions could be going through the mind of that giant of a man?!”Sobek then lifts Slash off the ground, both hands around the neck of Slash, and then high up into the air and holds him there.
Steve Richardson: “The absolute power of Sobek is now being seen. From the floor to the air in one movement. This is not good for Slash!”Slash wriggles around trying to break free, but Sobek just glares up at him from behind his mask holding Slash there, attempting to choke him out. Slash however is able to land a powerful kick that bounces right off the skull of Sobek and causes him to release the hold. Slash lands hard after the seven foot drop, but quickly back rolls into the corner, holding his throat attempting to catch his breath.
Frank Roberts: “Woah! A nice kick by Slash has him out of that Giant’s grasp and back in this match.”Steve Richardson: “But, does he have enough in him to capitalize, Frank?”Sobek has other ideas though, having already recovered from the kick he charges in and hits a body splash on Slash. Slash drops down to a sitting position after the blast and the momentum appears to have shifted.
Frank Roberts: “Oh no!”Steve Richardson: “It appears that Slash isn’t the one capitalizing this time.”Sobek then lifts Slash to his feet by his hair and delivers a hard uppercut to Slash, that causes Slash to hit turnbuckle then, stumble forward. Sobek then grabs Slash around the waist, from behind and turns so that there is nothing but open ring behind them, then launches Slash German Suplex style. However, Slash is able to land on his feet and then as Sobek gets up Slash wraps his arms around Sobek’s waist and is able to lift him and plant him German Suplex style and holding for the pin. 1…2…- but Sobek is able to kick out.
Steve Richardson: “ The athleticism and agility of Slash being show. Even after a beating he is able to land on his feet AND deliver a perfect German Suplex."Frank Roberts: “I have to say, I am impressed by this Slash.”Slash wastes no time however and quickly applies the Bleedout (Crossface) to Sobek and pulls back with all his might.
Steve Richardson: “And now the submission hold! Can he overcome the odds and win it here!”Sobek says nothing, but you can tell by his movements that he’s hurting and needs to escape. He reaches around wildly, trying to grasp a rope but to no avail. Slash continues to wrench back on the arm that he had targeted with the crucifix, and Sobek realizes the only way out is power. He then makes his way up to one knee, Slash still holding and pulling back with all his might. After a couple seconds of adjusting positioning, Sobek gets to his feet, and Slash still holds on with the Bleedout.
Frank Roberts: “That power!”Steve Richardson: “Once again Sobek shows us his strength, as he dead lifts all of Slash’s weight with just his arms!”Sobek then charges toward a turnbuckle so that he will smash Slash in between himself and the corner. Slash thinking quickly, let’s go of the hold and falls to the mat, allowing Sobek’s momentum to carry himself into the turnbuckle.
Frank Roberts: “Slash escapes! Can he do it?!”Sobek bounces off groggily and Slash leaps to the top rope. Wasting no time, Slash leaps and wraps his legs around the head of Sobek, spinning around once and then both men go down as Slash completes the hurracarana and lands back in the Bleedout position!
Steve Richardson: “Back into the Bleedout, Frank! Slash has got it! Sobek has to tap!”
Frank Roberts: “What a move by Slash! But, if Sobek notices how close he is to the ropes, this hold could be ended.”Sobek shakes his head both in frustration and letting the ref know he did not want to tap. Sobek then notices he’s near the ropes, but instead of grabbing one to break the hold he continues to act like he’s struggling as he slowly inches back under the ropes.
Steve Richardson: “What does Sobek have planned? It looks like he’s pulling himself out of the ring?” By the time Slash notices, it is already too late, Sobek’s feet touch the ground outside the ring, and he rips Slash out of the ring under the bottom rope and launches him completely off his arm and into the barricade and then falls back against the ring apron and nurses his shoulder, Slash not moving after the impact.
Frank Roberts: “Oh my God! Slash is out cold! What power! What a collision!”Steve Richardson: “Call the EMTs folks! Slash hit that barricade mighty hard! He may have a concussion!”
Frank Roberts: “I don’t think he’s gonna be getting up from that one, Steve.”After a few moments Sobek grabs Slash by the hair and forces him to his knees, and then picks him up over his shoulder and runs him face first into the exposed steel of the cornerpost.
Steve Richardson: “My God! Put the poor man down!”Frank Roberts: “He’s done, it’s over..”However, he doesn’t drop Slash after the impact, but instead tosses him into the ring through the middle rope. Sobek then gets back into the ring himself and grabs Slash. He then brings Slash up to a standing position and moves around behind him, having to hold Slash’s body up himself. He grabs Slash in a headlock/chokehold from behind, and then lifts him completely off the ground, locking in the constrictor.
Steve Richardson: “And now this! You can’t even just pin the man, but you gotta choke ‘em till he passes out!”
Frank Roberts: “I’ve heard of making a statement, but this is hard to watch.”
Sobek then appears to just petrify, as he stands completely still holding the wriggling Slash who is desperately trying to escape. After what seems like 5 minutes of struggling, Slash’s body stops and Sobek drops him to the mat and then roars to the crowd raising both arms, people watching with wide eyes as one of the most feared men in the RWF is being mangled by this beast.
Steve Richardson: “Now end it, ya bully! End the match and quit the torture!”Sobek then bends down to grab Slash and receives and hard right fist to the throat.
Frank Robert: “How is he still conscious?!”Sobek stumbles back holding his neck, completely off taken by Slash, who he thought was out cold. Slash gets up to one knee and Sobek charges toward him only to receive The Scrape (double palms to the gut).
Steve Richardson: “How is he even standing?! Go Slash Go!”Sobek drops down to one knee, holding his gut and then Slash runs to the ropes and rebounds, then comes back and leaps up hitting The Gash (Corkscrew Axekick) and both men lay on the mat face down, side by side.
Steve Richardson: “He’s got it! I don’t know how, but he’s got it! Cover him kid! Take the victory!”Frank Roberts: “What amazing durability, he still manages to fight back after all that.”After a few seconds Slash rolls the big man over and drapes his arm across the chest of Sobek. 1…2…th-
Steve Richardson: “Aww, so close! Finish ‘em Slash! Take your victory!”
But Sobek somehow kicks out. Slash unable to believe it shakes his head and then smacks the mat with both hands and gets to his feet. He then bends down and brings his right hand to his forehead and the fans go crazy recognizing his trademark taunt.
Steve Richardson: “Slash has somehow made an amazing recovery and is now feeling the momentum shifting to his side!”Frank Roberts: “Tremendous match! Go Get em Slash!”Slash then slowly slicks back his silver hair as he raises his head and then eyes Sobek closely. Sobek uses the corner/ropes to pull himself up and then once on his feet slowly stumbles, turning around to face Slash, who charges. Upon reaching Sobek, Slash goes for The Cut (running elbow to the throat) but to everyone’s amazement, Sobek leans back and dodges the blow matrix style using his arms to balance and then stands back to his feet after Slash sails over him and collides with the corner.
Steve Richardson: “What?!”
Frank Roberts: “How did he?!”Sobek then quickly turns and delivers a destructive big boot that smashes Slash’s head against the turnbuckle, and drops him to the mat. The fans are in awe but can’t help but get to their feet cheering with all their might. Sobek then lifts Slash’s body up onto the top rope so that he is facing out towards the crowd. Sobek then turns around so that their backs are together and then grabs both his arms and lifts him off the top rope, Border Toss style. He then takes a few steps out and finishes off hitting the Egyptian Conniption and covers Slash 1…2…3!
Ring Announcer: “And the winner of this match by pinfall, Ssssobek!”
Frank Roberts: “What a match, ladies and gentleman. Both of these men were well deserving of the victory, it’s a shame that they both can’t be victors here tonight.”Steve Richardson: “I couldn’t agree with you more, Frank.” Sobek’s music plays as he rolls out of the ring slowly and then lifts both arms at angles, high above his head and walks out. He never looks left or right, just continues down the ramp with his arms up and then turns around on the stage, taking a mic from one of the stagehands in the process and hit music cuts.
Sobek: “Fear Not, For I Your God Am Here! Ssssobek!” He then drops the mic and then his music continues playing as he walks to the back and the show goes to commercial break.
~The Show goes to Commercial Break~~Commercial Break ends~Immediately after commercial break it is silent for a few seconds and then The Mighty Fall by Fallout Boy starts playing through the P.A. system. Although the crowd cheers loudly, excited for the match, they don’t appear to be fond of Anderson, some even booing as he walks out. They must remember how the first match he had went.
Ring Announcer: “This match is scheduled for one fall and is the third match in this RWF World Heavyweight Championship tournament! Introducing first, weighing in at 215 pounds! Bryannnn Annndersonnn!”He stops at the entrance ramp with his arms raised, starts to put them down after the reaction but shakes his head, shakes it off and continues onward. He heads down the ramp at a brisk pace just trying to drown everything out and remain focused. He then slides in under the ring and hops up to the far turnbuckle raising his arm and pointing to himself yelling “I will prove myself tonight!”. He then hops down does a few warm up bounces and stretches using the ropes as his music cuts.
Then, You Only Live Once by Suicide Silence hits and almost as soon as the music entro starts the fans shoot to their feet. Disappointed by the loss of the other “Feared” they are excited to see Scream win.
Ring Announcer: “And his opponent, weighing in at 218 pounds! Screeeeaaammm!”The fans go even crazier after the announcer finishes, and the music hits the intense part again, Scream walking out onto the stage and just standing here. His shoulders raising and dropping as he breathes heavily, staring forward at Bryan Anderson in the ring. Scream then pulls his gauntlets tight as he makes his descent down the ramp. Scream then reaches the bottom of the ramp and leaps up into the air. He then comes down onto the floor in front of the ring in a kneeling position, slamming his fist down onto the floor and pyro shoots up from each ringpost around the ring. Bryan Anderson flinching and moving slightly away from the turnbuckle at his back. Scream then rolls in under the bottom rope and stands up in a readied stance as his music dies down. The two eye one another for a few seconds, the fans letting them both hear their excitement and then the bell rings and the match is underway.
Scream and Anderson lock up at center ring and the match is underway. After a couple seconds of pushing, Scream is able to take a step forward, pushing Anderson as he does so. Scream then let’s up so that Anderson kinda falls forward and throws a heavy knee into Anderson’s gut, the momentum going forward causing him to flip over the knee. Anderson then gets right back up only to receive a big chop that sends him to his back again. Bryan shoots up one more time and Scream goes for a clothesline, missing wildly, and Bryan Anderson goes for a roundhouse kick. Scream has other ideas though has he catches the foot with both hands and throws a roundhouse kick of his own, connecting with the jaw of Anderson and causing him to fall down to the mat.
Frank Roberts: “Signs of his RWF debut are showing so far, Steve. Does Bryan Anderson really have what it takes to compete here?”Steve Richardson: “Only time will tell, Frank but so far it’s not looking good.”Scream held onto the leg of Anderson though and falls back as well, applying an Achilles tendon lock on Anderson. Scream wrenches back and Bryan yells out swinging at Scream who just lays back to dodge the blow and pulls on the lock even harder.
Steve Richardson: “Well Frank, it seems to me like Scream just outskills Anderson completely.”
Frank Roberts: “Anderson must have friends here cause I don’t see how he could’ve made it in here with the rest of these guys. The ropes are right behind him for Pete’s sake.”After repeating this process a couple times Anderson lays back and notices the ropes are right behind him. Feeling stupid he quickly reaches back and grabs them to break the hold and as soon as he does, he feels the hold release and feels a foot come down hard on his forearm. Scream then drags him by his foot to the middle of the ring and falls back to apply the hold again, but Anderson quickly rolls free and out the bottom rope. However, Scream allows no time to go wasted as he goes out after Anderson. He gifts a hard soccerball kick to the back of the now seated Anderson who yelps from the pain and then rolls away.
Frank Roberts: “Scream just not even given the rookie a chance, this is not looking good at all.”Steve Richardson: “No mercy when it’s for the RWF Championship, Frank.”Scream then lifts Anderson to his feet and leans him back against the barricade, then rams his knee into the gut of Anderson before rolling him back into the ring under the ropes.
Steve Richardson: “Ouch…”Scream then rolls in with him and covers him 1…t- but Anderson kicks out early. Scream then lifts Anderson to his feet and hits a snap suplex, covering again. 1…t- and Bryan continues to be resilient and kicks out.
Steve Richardson: “I will say, it’s early in the match, and although Bryan has already received quite a bit of punishment he is showing a lot more resilience this time around.”
Frank Roberts: “Definitely some improvement, but not much.”Scream then brings Bryan up to his feet again and hits him with a couple punches and chops then irish whips him. Bryan gets to the ropes to rebound and hooks both his arms stopping his momentum.
Steve Richardson: “Anderson possibly looking to catch his breath.”Scream notices and then charges, leaping and putting his knee forward hoping to hit Anderson in the head, but Bryan drops down to the mat and pulls the top rope down with all his might. Scream then sails over the top rope, and his feet get caught on the rope as Bryan releases it, causing him to go down onto the floor below face first.
Frank Roberts: “Woah! Anderson buying himself some time to make a comeback.”
Steve Richardson: “Let’s see if he’s got what it takes. C’mon kid!”Anderson uses a couple seconds to recover and then rolls out and picks Scream up to his feet and rolls him into the ring then follows in after him. Anderson then immediately goes to work lifting Scream up to his feet and hitting him with a standing dropkick that sends him back first into a turnbuckle. Anderson then charges and hits a rising knee into the head of Scream while he’s against the turnbuckle, then backs up and let’s Scream fall to a sitting position. Bryan then raises his arm and yells “Yeeeaah!” then charges and hits another knee strike to the seated Scream.
Steven Richardson: “Bryan Anderson showing some signs of offense, Frank!”
Frank Roberts: “Yeah and some momentum gain too, but for how long?” He then drags Scream out of the corner, by his foot and hooks him for the cover. 1…t- but Scream would not be beaten that easily. Bryan then gets up and raises Scream to his feet and then irish whips him to the ropes. Off the rebound Bryan goes for an arm drag, but Scream manages to hold his ground.
Steven Richardson: “Uh oh…”Anderson again tries to hit the arm drag, but Scream holds it again, then Scream turns in and kicks Anderson in the gut and hooks him DDT style then kicks out finishing the snap DDT.
Frank Roberts: “And there’s Scream showing just how lethal he is in that ring.”
Steve Richardson: “I hate to say it, but if Anderson can’t get any momentum on his side, this is a lost cause.”Both men lay there for a few seconds then Scream springs up to his feet. Anderson is just starting to stir when Scream gives him a hard kick to the ribs.
Frank Roberts: “Oh! What a shot!”Anderson rolls, trying to get away but Scream just chases on and delivers another hard kick to the side of Bryan.
Steve Richardson: “Ouch! Another hard kick from Scream who appears to have just been angered by Anderson’s short flurry.”Bryan again tries rolling, this time reaching the turnbuckle with nowhere to go and Scream once again gives him a hard kick to the ribs. Bryan yells out in pain, but this doesn’t halt Scream one bit.
Steve Richardson: “Oh c’mon Scream! Let the kid have a little bit of breathing room!”Scream then runs jumping up to the second rope, then grabs the top rope with his hands and leaps outward with his legs first, coming down head first onto the head of Bryan hitting a falling headbutt. Bryan squirms in pain holding his head after the solid mask of Scream digs into his skull. Scream then covers him again 1…2…- but Bryan continues to show resilience and kicks out.
Steve Richardson: “Creative maneuver by Scream, and Anderson still showing some resilience.”
Frank Roberts: “Yeah, but how long can he keep it up?”Scream then shakes his head in frustration then stomps on the gut of Anderson causing him to sit up, then in one fluid motion hits a buzzsaw-like kick that knocks Anderson’s head back hard to the mat.
Frank Roberts: “What impact!? Can Anderson kick out this one too?!”Scream then drops down to his knees and covers Anderson again. 1…2…th- but Bryan again gets a shoulder up and refuses to go down.
Steve Richardson: “Anderson doing his best to stay in the match, but how long can he keep this up, Frank?”Scream then unleashes a flurry of punches to the grounded Bryan before lifting him to his feet. Scream then irish whips Anderson into the corner and charges, but Bryan manages to get a foot up. Scream stumbles back, but is ultimately just angered by this and he charges again.
Steve Richardson: “Signs up fight still left in his battered body!”Once again, Anderson manages to throw his legs up, this time connecting with the chest of Scream, who stumbles back once again.
Frank Roberts: “He’s not down and out just yet!” Scream charges in again and this time Bryan Anderson does a spin and as he comes around hits a spinning roundhouse kick that knocks Scream to the ground.
Frank Roberts: “Woah! What a kick from Anderson!”
Steve Richardson: “Definitely kicking in the reserves for this adrenaline It sounds like the crowd is starting to turn in his favor!”The crowd starts to get behind Bryan for the first time since his debut last week, but he doesn’t notice much. Bryan doesn’t let up, as Scream starts to get up, kind of groggy, Bryan hooks Scream and hits a northern lights suplex, holding him for the pin. 1…2.- but Scream kicks out barely after a two count.
Steve Richardson: “The crowd continues to get behind Anderson as he starts to build momentum. Perhaps he can make this comeback!”Bryan then gets up and the crowd is starting to get behind him a little more, again he just thinks they are trying to pump up Scream so he ignores them yet again. Bryan rests a moment and then as Scream starts to get up, he runs to the opposite end of the ring and rebounds charging back throws a knee into the side of the helmet of Scream, knocking him back down. Bryan then jumps up, springboarding off the ropes and comes down with both knees onto the chest of Scream. Scream grabs his gut in pain and Bryan shoots up and throws his arm up yelling out and the crowd gets louder roaring with him. He then realizes they are on his side and it starts to pump him up.
Steve Richardson: “Bryan Anderson now finding his momentum and starting to get fired up!”
Frank Roberts: “This kid may actually pull it off!” He then turns back to see Scream getting up again and hurries over to him hitting a scoop slam on him and then heads to the nearest turnbuckle.
Steve Richardson: “Anderson looking for something big here!”He then turns around full of adrenaline and leaps and hits the Flying Headbutt!
Steve Richardson: “There ya go kid there ya… It looks like he’s hurting worse than Scream?!”
Frank Roberts: “It’s that damn helmet of his!”Anderson rolls away in pain, covering his head and Scream rolls the opposite way towards the ropes. As Anderson pulls his hand away, you notice a little trickle of blood coming from a new cut in his forehead.
Steve Richardson: “That helmet of Scream’s appears to have busted Anderson open!”He looks at his hand and sees the blood and then touches it again to check. At first his eyes get wide but then he shakes it off and gets to his feet, only to be hoisted up, twirled around, and slammed back first over the knee of Scream who finishes the tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
Steve Richardson: “My God! Anderson’s back just driven right down to that knee!”Scream then covers Anderson 1…2…th- but Anderson once again wills his way to get his shoulder up. Scream then gets Anderson to his feet and pushes him, causing him to stumble back and rebound off the ropes, and Scream goes for a roundhouse kick. Anderson manages to duck under it, then spins and goes for a spinning roundhouse kick of his own, but Scream ducks his as well. The momentum however, carries the light-headed Anderson all the way around so that he is facing away from Scream. Scream, then wastes no time and leaps up, putting both knees into the back of Anderson, grabbing the back of his head and pulling him down, perfectly executing the backstabber.
Frank Roberts: “It’s over. Anderson put up one hell of a fight and has earned all our respects, but it’s over.”Steve Richardson: “Scream has been targeting that back all match long and I think now he’s finally put Anderson away.”Anderson rolls across the ring, holding his back in pain and smacking the ring with his fist. Scream slowly gets to his feet then, puts his hands on either side of his head and turns his head with the hands suddenly, cracking his neck. Then, marches over and stands so that he will be behind Anderson when he gets up, and starts adjusting the gauntlet on his right hands, squatting low so that he will get plenty of leverage to end the match with the next strike. He stalks his prey carefully moving so that he stays behind Anderson, as Bryan staggers around. Anderson uses the ropes to pull himself up and then slowly turns to find where his opponent went. He sees Scream do a full spin then, as Scream comes out of the spin he throws a straight right, with the fingers completely outstretched, aiming for Anderson’s neck.
Steve Richardson: “Scream going for the Silencer! This should do it!”Anderson manages to duck under it and then with them standing back to back, Anderson hooks both of Screams arms and pulls him over onto his neck and holds him, rolling him up with a backslide pin. 1…2…
Steve Richardson: “The dodge and the roll up! He could have it here!”Frank Roberts: “Will the roll-up be enough?!”as the ref is about to hit three, Anderson pushes up with his legs, feeling that Scream was pulling his legs up for a kick out, causing Scream to be unable to thrust his legs outward and break it, 3!
Steve Richardson: “He’s done it! The rookie has done it! He has overcome the odds and beat Scream!”
Frank Roberts: “That positioning during the roll up was brilliant and gave him just enough to hold onto the roll-up. Well done by Bryan Anderson!”
Ring Announcer: “And your winner by pinfall, Bryan Annnndersonnnnn!”The crowd goes berserk as the man who had gotten beat in under 5 minutes in his debut match on the dark show, had come back to beat one of the most feared men in the RWF and moves on to the semi-finals of the RWF World Heavyweight Championship tournament!
Steven Richardson: “What a match and showing by this kid here tonight, Frank! We got to witness something special here tonight!”
Frank Roberts: “I have to agree. It was definitely a Cinderella story, and I was happy to see him win after all. Congratulations Bryan. You earned this!”
Bryan quickly gets out of the ring, leaving Scream enraged. Bryan heads up the ramp, nursing his lower back with his right arm as he stares up at the ring, a big smile on his face as the fans cheer him on. He hits as many high fives as he can before reaching the stage where he is met by the stagehand Jess he had met earlier. She was smiling really big and doing a little golf clap for him. He put on a “aww shucks” face and then did a little bow then offered his arm to her. She hooked hers through his arm and then they left to go backstage together. Meanwhile, in the ring Scream had cornered the ref. Security circled around the ring and then he started to calm down and turned away from the ref. He took one step then spun around and nailed the ref with The Silencer (spinning throat thrust) knocking him to the mat, before meeting security out in front of the ring and walking out surrounded by them.
~The show goes to commercial break~~Commercial Break Ends~
Steve Richardson: “What a match we just saw, Frank. Bryan Anderson started off the match being booed out of the place, and by the end had re-earned the respect of the fans.”Frank Roberts: “Yeah, yeah. Scream let him win.”
Steve Richardson: “Oh don’t be so sour Frank. Let’s get to the match.”Cemetary Gates by Pantera begins to play through the P.A. and the fans give a mixed reaction, not knowing who the superstar entering is.
Ring Announcer: “This match is set for one fall and is the fourth match in this RWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament! Introducing first, weighing in at 280 pounds! Michael Manson!"He comes out, kind of hobbling with a serious look on his face. He doesn’t do anything fancy, just raises his right arm as he walks down the entrance ramp, keeping his eyes on the ring. Upon reaching the ring, he walks over to the steel steps, smacking a few high fives on his way over to them, then heads up into the ring. He then, walks to his corner and adjusts his wrist band as he waits for his opponent.
Ring Announcer: “And his opponent…”The music hits right after the announcer begins and the fans practically blow the roof off the building, recognizing who he is from the indy companies he’s worked for.
Ring Announcer: “Weighing in at 235 pounds! Alexander Theeee Great!”Out walks Alexander the Great wearing what appears to be wearing an old Greek warrior’s Chestplate as he marches out to the stage with his arms straight out to the sides and a smirk on his face, as if he expects the cheers. He then bends his arms flexing them up and nods with the smile still on his face, then continues on down the ramp. He points at various fans as he walks down the ramp, laughing at them or saying things like “Not Worthy. Not Worthy. Not Worthy.” And then he comes to the area before the ring and looks up at Michael Manson. He keeps a furious glare on Michael, but then can’t help but start laughing, pointing at Manson as he does so, who tends to not let the laughing effect him at all. Alex then unclips two side panels on the chestplate, right below his right armpit, and the other down by his waist, then removes the chestplate and sets it aside revealing his slightly hair chest. He does a few warm up bounces before running forward and sliding into the ring under the ropes. He quickly gets to his feet and eyes Manson before turning around and getting up onto the turnbuckle closest to him and just puts his arms straight out to the sides and listens as the fans cheer him on. The music then cuts as he gets down from the corner and meets Manson in the middle face to face, the cocky smirk never leaving his face. Then, the bell rings and the match begins.
Alexander starts to move in to center ring to lock up, but is thrown off when Manson grabs his own hand and bites onto a couple of his fingers.
Frank Roberts: “Is he… Biting… Alexander The Great?!”
Steve Richardson: “Yes it appears he is!”Alexander yells out in pain and Manson uses the surprise to push Alex back into the corner where he then throws a heavy right hand into the gut of Alex. He throws a clubbing overhand blow, and knocks Alex down into a sitting position and back up. He makes it halfway across the ring and then Alex starts to get up so he charges in and hits a hip attack that crushes Alex’s head between his hip and the turnbuckle.
Steve Richardson: “If you’re just tuning in with us, Michael Manson currently has the advantage after an ambush at the start of the match.”Alex falls down to a sitting position once again and Michael runs to the opposite turnbuckle. He then turns and rebounds off it as if it’s ropes and then charges in and hits a running senton on the seated Alex, crushing him to the turnbuckle. Manson then drags Alexander out of the corner by his boot and covers him. 1…t- but he barely gets a one count before Alex throws his stocky shoulder into the air. Manson then stomps on the gut of Alexander causing him to sit up then dives forward hitting a clothesline and knocking him back onto his back. He covers again 1…t- but barely gets a 2 count yet again. Manson then stomps a couple times on the downed Alexander’s face and repeats this 2 more times before backing up and squatting down.
Steve Richardson: “It appears Manson has come out here with a VERY aggressive style and so far it appears to be working on the very Impressive, Alexander.”
Frank Roberts: “The Great… It’s Alexander the Great, Steve.” Steve Richardson: “Bah, I’ll call ‘em whatever I damn well please, Frank. His name is Alex, so I don’t see a problem with calling him Alex.”As Alexander sits up, trying to shake the cob webs out of his head, Manson charges in looking for a knee to the side of the head, but Alexander lays back to dodge it and Manson goes running by. As Manson rebounds Alexander gets to his feet, and then Manson leaps up and hits the Lou Thesz Press, tackling Alex to the ground then begins punching him.
Steve Richardson: “Once again Manson doing what he can to keep Alexander grounded and not able to retaliate.”
After 3 punches though Alexander manages to catch his fist. Manson then swings the other and Alex catches it, then plants the bottom of his boots onto Manson’ gut and launches him overhead, monkey flip style.
Frank Roberts: “Very creative maneuver to escape the clutches of Manson!”Manson quickly gets to his feet, but so does Alexander. Manson charges, going for a clothesline, but Alex ducks under it, catching Manson’s arm as he goes by and then flipping him over with a fireman’s carry. Manson quickly rolls over and starts to get to his feet, but Alex has a different idea. He wraps his arms around the kneeling Manson’s arms and chest, pinning Michael’s arms to his body so that he can’t escape then launches him overhead, hitting a belly to belly suplex.
Frank Roberts: “And now showing off his strength and technical side, Alexander the Great! Ladies and Gentlemen, dare I say… Future champ?”Manson however, refuses to stay down and Alex just keeps it coming. Manson swings a right and Alex leans back to dodge it, then fires a left jab of his own.
Steve Richardson: “Manson better learn quick that hand-to-hand combat is not a smart tactic to go with against a man with kick boxing experience.”Manson shakes his head, loosening the ‘cob webs’ then fires another haymaker, but Alex just raises his arm to let it hit him in the side, then lowers his own arm to trap Manson’s arm against his body. Alex then fires a right hand that connects with Manson’s head, then another, then another. Michael gets angered, then reels back and throws a lariat at Alex who ducks it, then the trapped arm prevents Manson from going any further.
Steve Richardson: “I’ve watched a lot of wrestling in my day and I can honestly say that there aren’t many out there that can compete with Alexander in the technically sound area.”Frank Roberts: “Based off what we’ve seen so far, there aren’t many that can compete with him, period.” Alex then turns so that he is in behind Manson and reaches up, hooking Manson then falling down with him in a reverse DDT. He covers Manson 1…2- but Michael kicks out right after two. Alex’s cocky smirk that had disappeared after the sneak attack by Manson, had now returned to his face as he begins to take control.
Frank Roberts: “There it is, that smile we all know and love!”Steve Richardson: “Speak for yourself. If he gets too far into his own head, that’s just as dangerous as letting your opponent get in your head.”Manson is still putting up a fight as he gets to his feet on his own though, Alex tries to grab him, but he slaps Alex’s hand away. This angers Alexander a little and he points at Manson and says “You do not dishonor Alexander the Great” then uses his other hand and slaps Manson across the face.
Frank Roberts: “That’s right Manson, you keep your nasty hands off of Alexander the Great!”Manson slowly turns back to the smirking Alexander and jumps going for another Lou Thesz Press, but Alex turns and raises a knee, causing Manson to go head first off of it. He then kicks Michael in the gut and hooks him then without hesitation hits a swinging neckbreaker. Manson quickly rolls across the ring to safety and Alexander gets to his feet looks down at Manson, sizing him up. He starts to charge Manson, who quickly rolls to the side, and then stops and puts up his finger, shaking it as if to say “No, No, No.” then takes a couple steps and hits a low dropkick to the chest of the sitting Michael Manson. Manson lays back against the mat holding his chest, but Alexander has other plans. He hoists Manson up to his feet and hits a European Uppercut. Manson stumbles back and then Alex turns and hooks him for an Arm Drag, but Manson holds his ground. Man then hits a hard right into the gut of Alex, then delivers a solid headbutt that makes Alex stumble back. Manson then runs and lowers his head, connecting with another headbutt that causes Alex to stagger back into the turnbuckle. Manson then charges and hits a clothesline that smashes Alex against the corner.
Steve Richardson: “Not completely outclassed, Manson is now beginning to mount some momentum for himself. Maybe he can make this match a little more interesting.”
Frank Roberts: “Maybe… But, I doubt it.”Alex stumbles forward, and Manson lifts him up scoop slam style and hangs him Tree of Woe style on the cornerpost. Manson then delivers a couple of body blows before backing up. He gets about halfway across the ring then charges in and goes for a low dropkick, only to have Alex do a sit-up motion and Manson slides through the ropes under the bottom. Alex then gets his feet unhooked , turns and launches himself off the top rope and lands on Manson DDT style and holds, spinning both of them around and then planting Manson on the ground, finishing off a picture perfect Tornado DDT.
Frank Roberts: “There we go! Show that ape who’s the boss ATG!”Steve Richardson: “The head of Manson was planted with such authority. He may not even be able to get up after that one!” After a few seconds Alex gets to his feet and pulls Manson up with him by his hair, then lifts Manson military Press style showing off his strength. He turns toward the audience and yells “Not worthy!” only to have Manson slide down his back and toss him into the barricade shoulder first.
Steve Richardson: “Alexander’s arrogance once again gets him into trouble. He needs to focus less on taunting his opponent and more on winning the match!”Manson doesn’t stop there though, he barely gets Alex up to his knees before launching him shoulder first into the steel steps as well. He then, lifts Alex again and tosses him back into the barricade before letting up.
Frank Roberts: “Is that legal? Somebody stop him!”Steve Richardson: “What a ruthless assault on behalf of Michael Manson, never count this man out, he’s got hardcore written all over him.”He looks down at Alex as if something had snapped and then climbs up onto the barricade. He stands completely up then jumps off and lands with both feet on Alex’s torso, hitting a double stomp. Alex lets out a yell as the pain fills his torso and the wind escapes him, only to be hoisted back to his feet by Manson.
Steve Richardson: “My God! All 280 pounds of the 6’4 frame landing on Alex’s chest!”Michael then rolled him back into the ring and rolled in after him. He covers Alex 1…2…t- but Alex still manages to kick out. Michael the gives Alex a couple of punches before heading over to the nearest turnbuckle. He climbs up to the top rope, turning to make sure Alex is still down, then turns to face him. He stands up slowly then leaps looking for a big elbow drop, but Alex rolls just barely getting out of the way in time. Manson expects it though and does a barrel roll to avoid a painful crash and then gets to his feet, turning around right in time for a huge lariat that nearly causes him to do a backflip!
Frank Roberts: “What a shot!”
Steve Richardson: “Michael Manson was nearly beheaded by that lost shot!”Alex then lifts him to his feet and irish whips him. Manson runs, rebounding off the opposite ropes then tries to surprise Alex with the same, only to have Alex duck. Manson then rebounds again and Alex turns quickly, and lifts Manson up and powers him down with a spinebuster.
Frank Roberts: “With authority! That’s why they call him “The Great”, Steve!”Alexander then runs to the nearest ropes and Sprinboards off again with a moonsault but Manson rolls out under the ropes. Alex manages to land on his feet and watches as Manson moves over toward the steel steps, looking up at Alex shaking his head. Alex then runs to the opposite ropes and rebounds then charges, possibly looking for a springboard move, but right as he reaches the ropes Manson slides in. Alexander reacts quickly and just baseball slides out of the ring, then turns back and goes to roll in but Manson hits a low drop kick that sends him out onto the floor.
Steve Richardson: “Manson using some sneaky, but smart tactics to turn the tables on Alexander.”
Frank Roberts: “Yeah, yeah. Can’t be a man and face him head on so he uses cheap tactics.”
Manson then walks across to the opposite side of the ring and drops down, rolling out under the bottom rope. Alex gets back in the ring and notices Michael isn’t in so he moves over to the other side where he notices Manson digging under the ring.
Steve Richardson: What is Manson doing? Is he looking for a weapon in a non disqualification match?”Alex reaches through the middle ropes and grabs Manson’s hair, only to have Manson slap his hand away and deck him in the side of the head with a chair.
Steve Richardson: “What a shot! Manson takes the loss, but what else does he have planned for Alexander?!”Alexander falls to the mat of the ring and holds his head as Manson rolls into the ring with the chair and the bell is rung. Manson then delivers 2 more chair shots to the ribs and back.
Frank Roberts: “Someone get that chair away from him!”Steve Richardson: “Here’s comes the ref, stop this carnage!”Ring Announcer: “And the winner of this match by disqualification! Alexaaaander the Great!”Manson sets the chair open in the middle of the ring and the ref moves over to take it away, only to be pushed aside and out of the ring.
Steve Richardson: “Now there’s no one to stop him from-“Manson then turns to grab Alex only to be hit with a Spinning Back Fist by Alexander that drops him to the mat. Alexander then points to himself and leans over Manson’s body yelling “You dare dishonor me?!” and then spits on Manson. He then walks over to the ropes and drops down to the mat, rolling out of the ring and his music begins playing.
Frank Roberts: “He doesn’t need any help, Steve. That’s what makes him “Great”. See what I did there?!”
Steve Richardson: “Yes, Frank. We all see what you did there.”Alexander then stops to pose for the fans as he grabs his chestplate, strapping it back on quickly. He then heads up the ramp with his arms straight out at his sides all the way up to the stage. Once he reaches the stage he turns around to face the ring where Manson is seen holding his cheek where the Spinning Back Fist hit him, and trembling with rage. Alexander then strikes a pose before heading to the back.
~The show goes to commercial break~~Commercial Break Ends~Frank Roberts: “Well, I’ve got to say I’m actually impressed with Alexander the Great after that match.”Steve Richardson: “I agree completely. He showed us why he’s called “The Great” and we won’t be second guessing that anytime soon.”Frank Roberts: “Let’s get to the final match of the night now, Steve. And it should be a great one!”The beginning to Wretches and Kings by Linkin Park and the fans listen in, still cheering out of excitement for the final match of the evening. Once the music part of the song come on Xavier Serikaz comes out onto the stage, accompanied by Tyler McKnight and gets a pretty big cheer, the fans recognizing him from previoius organizations.
Ring Announcer: “This match is set for one fall and is the final match in the first round of the tournament for the RWF World Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, weighing in at 215 and being accompanied to the ring by Tyler McKnight, Xaaaaaavier Serikaz!”Xavier walks out to the stage and raises one arm, yelling things to fans and Tyler stands behind him applauding him. They both then proceed down the ramps, Tyler saying things like “You’re about to see the best of the best ladies and gents!” and Xavier just puts his hands together, rolling his wrists as he walks to loosen up. As they reach the front of the ring, Xavier does a few warm up bounces as Tyler walks up the steel steps and then sits on the middle rope to lower it for Xavier who climbs up onto the apron and goes through. Xavier then walks to the far turnbuckle and climbs up it, point to himself and yelling to the fans, and Tyler climbs out of the ring as the music stops.
The intro to the song plays and the fans stand to their feet remembering the great match he put on last week and began cheering.
Ring Announcer: “And his opponent, weighing in at 285 pounds, Chris Gaaaaavrilidis!”Chris steps out as the music picks up with his arm raised and the fans continue to support him as he walks out. He stops at the edge of the stage/ramp and takes a wide stance. He then flexes his muscles and turns to the left. Then he pivots from left to right(like Batista), slightly bouncing and pyro goes off behind him, going from left to right as he does, then once he finishes he jumps up and lands on the ramp and one final blast of pyro goes off, then he continues down the ramp. Chris then stops down in front of the ring and eyes his opponent before rolling into the ring only to instantly be attacked by Xavier.
Steve Richards: “A popular trend we’ve seen tonight, with the attacks before the bell has been rung.”
Frank Roberts: “There young, Steve. They’ll learn!”He opens up on Christ first with repeated stomps over and over, holding the ropes for balance. The ref eventually reaches a 4 count and Xavier stops. He backs up for a few seconds letting Chris start to get up, then as Chris gets to his knees, Xavier runs up and hits an enzuigiri that knocks Chris right back down.
Steve Richardson: “A good shot by the youngster, not much of a fight being put up from Chris just yet.” The bell finally rings, signaling the official start to the match and Xavier pressed on. He lifts Chris to his feet and irish whips him, however Gavrilidis holds onto Xavier’s arm then irish whips him instead. Xavier reaches the ropes and instead of rebounding, he just leaps up and springboards off the ropes doing a moonsault movement, then as he reaches Chris, his feet wrap around Gravrilildis’ head and he twists, causing his body to spin off to the side and finishes the frankensteiner on Chris Gavrilidis.
Steve Richardson: “Xavier showing some of those high-flying acrobatics that we’ve heard so much about.”Frank Roberts: “Definitely one of the most athletic wrestlers I’ve seen.” However, Chris gets right back to his feet and charges in with his arm up for a clothesline, but Xavier just does what looks like a barrel roll toward Chris, however as he goes flips forward, the heel of his foot catches Chris right in the face and knocks him to his back (Koppu Kick).
Frank Roberts: “Nice shot! What a move!”Steve Richardson: “Very unorthodox, but effective!”Xavier then covers Gavrilidis 1…2.- but Chris kicks out after a two count. Xavier then gets Chris to his feet again and goes for a chop, but Chris catches his arm and then clotheslines him down. Xavier shoots right back up though and Chris swings with another clothesline, connecting and knocking Serikaz back to the mat. Xavier shoots up again, this time being picked up scoop slam style by Chris, however Xavier slides up and over the shoulder of Gavrilidis. Chris turns to meet him, but Xavier is too quick and hits him with a wheel kick that knocks him to his back. Chris stumbles a little but ends up getting up pretty quickly, but again Xavier seems to be a step ahead as he hits Chris with a standing drop kick, causing him to stumble backward a couple steps before falling to a sitting position.
Steve Richardson: “It appears that Chris can’t get anything started against the quickness of Xavier Serikaz.”Frank Roberts: “Didn’t I hear that Chris was suffering from concussion like symptoms after his last match? Maybe that’s playing a role in this one.”Steve Richardson: “Ah yes, that could be the problem.”Serikaz then springs up to his feet and runs toward Chris who out of instinct lies back to dodge an attack towards his head. However, Xavier has no problems hopping over Chris, onto the ropes, springboarding off the ropes and then landing a moonsault onto Chris’s body then covers. 1..2.- but again Chris kicks out. Xavier quickly gets to his feet and lifts Chris up too and then kicks him in the gut. Chris yells out in pain as he bends over holding his gut. Serikaz then locks up a butterfly style and heaves with all his might to hit a butterfly suplex on the 285 pounder, but is barely able to get the feet off the ground.
Steve Richardson: “He may be quick, and agile, but when it comes to the heavy lifting Xavier might have a little bit of trouble.” He stops for a few seconds then tries again, only to be lifted off the ground. Chris then charges and rams Xavier back first into the corner then stumbles back holding his mouth, his lip appears to be bleeding a little.
Frank Roberts: “Every man has his weakness and the strength appears to be Xavier. But, for most of the match he hasn’t even needed it.”Chris then charges forward, but Xavier throws both feet up into the face of Gavirilidis and knocks him back off balance. He then gets up to the top rope and awaits Chris to turn around. He leaps hoping for the Diving knee drop and lands it!
Frank Roberts: “Wow! What a move! Chris will definitely be feeling that one tomorrow!”Steve Richardson: “These unorthodox moves of Xavier Serikaz definitely spell trouble for Chris, and any other superstar that might have to face him for that matter.” He then covers Chris again 1…2…th- but Gavirilidis hangs on throwing his shoulder up. Xavier keeps his cool as he gets to his feet, bringing Chris to his feet once again, he then kicks Chris in the gut. This time he turns around so that his back is facing Chris and hooks both of his arms through Chris’s.
Steve Richardson: “What’s Xavier got up his sleeve this time?!”Frank Roberts: “I’m not sure, Steve. But, we’re about to find out.”He then twists around and squats low for more leverage, and stands completely up, lifting Chris up off the ground, now upside down.
Frank Roberts: “Woah! He got the 285 pounder off the ground!”Xavier pumped about being able to lift Gavrilidis lets out a roar that brings the crowd into cheers along with him. He then takes a step forward and leaps up and comes down driving, Chris’s head into the mat (Vertebreaker). Xavier is so pumped up that he springs to his feet and hits a standing shooting star press for good measure then covers 1…2…3!
Steve Richardson: “Great show of ability from Xavier Serikaz tonight!”
Ring Announcer: “The winner of this match by pinfall, Xaaaaaavier Serikaz!”
Frank Roberts: “Let’s hope that Chris Gavrilidis was just suffering from some concussion like symptoms and will be back to full strength his next outing. As for Xavier, congrats on the win!”Xavier’s music begins playing as he is showered with cheers. He gets up on a turnbuckle raising his arms and showing the fans some love before exiting the ring and meeting his manager Tyler McKnight on the outside of the ring. The two of them walk up the ramp, Xavier occasionally raising an arm for the fans and then they get to the stage where Xavier’s girlfriend meets them from backstage. She jumps on Xavier giving him a big kiss as he holds her up in the air. After a few seconds he sets her down and she grabs his right hand, Tyler grabs his left and both raise his arms. The fans continue cheering as the camera fades to black ending the first official live show of RWF.
Steve Richardson: “Well folks, thanks for joining us in our first live show on RWF.”
Frank Roberts: “Indeed, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! And we look forward to seeing you all again at the next show. Goodnight!”~Show Ends~
