RWF PPV – Fall Brawl
2nd Promotional Role-play
Start
The place was lit and the crowd was a buzz. Excitement is at the all-time high as the RWF opens up. With the announcement of the up-coming Pay-Per-View dubbed Fall Brawl, people were hyped if not interested on how the show will turn out.
The RWF was not slack in its endeavor too. Promotion for the both Nathan Harris and Hardcore Comley were left and right introducing the two new superstars of the company. Hardcore Comley already showcased his presence and still it could be felt even at the subconscious level.
Backstage, Nathan Harris for his part however was psyched. This would be the first time that he will appear on the squared circle and to say that he was excited would be an understatement.
“This is it! My show, my time!” were the thoughts that ran to the superstar’s mind.
A gentle tap on his shoulders interrupted his musings which he turned towards to. What he found was one of the male staff of RWF responsible for the shows backstage timings and whatnot. “Nathan, you’re up! Five seconds after your theme plays. Just like we discussed.”
Nathan nodded at this and thanked the man before he turned around once more. Soon enough, his chosen theme blared on the P.A. Systems. “Show time!” he mentally exclaimed.
“Oh? Look at that! It’s Nathan Harris!” Steve Richardson commentated.
“And I am surprised actually Steve. With the showing that Hardcore Comley presented, I thought this guy would have packed his bags and left.” replied Frank Roberts.
“Though we don’t see eye-to-eye Frank. I have to agree with you. This young superstar will go up against someone insane, if not completely demented.” came the Steve’s reply.
Pumped with adrenaline, Nathan walked out to the top ramp at the five second mark and faced the crowd. Cheers echoed all-around at his arrival in modest as projected to his first showing in the arena. His heart that thumped before now blares with intensity as Nathan get more fired up.
It didn’t take a whole lot of time and Nathan finally found himself in the squared ring. He went directly on the center and addressed the crowd on his own brand of flair and asked for the microphone from the commentator’s table.
Nathan took a deep breath before he simmered his excitement and brought the microphone near his lips. “RWF, the family that I never had. Today marks the day that I entered the squared circle of this business.”
At the commentator’s booth, Frank seemed impatient at the proceedings that is going underway. “Oh just get on with it! This is not a place for soap-operas!” Frank commented.
“Shush you! Give the kid a bit of time to get to his point!” chided Steve to his co-commentator.
On the ring, Nathan then paced a bit around before he settled and spoke once more. “Fall Brawl, the first ever Pay-Per-View of the RWF and I am opening it up. To set up the tempo so that you…” he pointed at the north side of the arena.
“And you…” he continued as he pointed, this time on the south side.
“And all of you! Will be sure that you are not wasting precious money for admittance. Or that you would not be bored to death with drinks on one hand… Aaannndd…” he trailed with a grin on his face.
The crowd chuckled at this. Some chanted what they want him to say. Nathan would have liked to do just that but the RWF had to be concerned for the “younger” audiences. “And popcorn! On the other! Good gods what vulgar people.” Nathan completed with a grin on his face.
The crowd laughed at this and it once more put a smile on Nathan Harris’ face. “Seriously though. RWF is all about you guys. And this Sunday, you all are going to be a part of something more! Something big! For this Sunday, you are going to be a part of revolution that is the R-W-F.”
The crowd cheered at this. Energy coursed thru their veins.
At the commentator’s table, Frank almost blew his top. “Oh my goodness! The fans are eating up this crap?!” Frank commented with disdain.
“Will you lighten up Frank! This is sports entertainment! This only shows that, that man on that very ring is entertaining the crowd.” Steve rebutted his partner.
Back at the ring, Nathan rode the cheers and chants. Slowly, he placed the microphone back on his lips in which the fans slowly settled down. “And ofcourse, we could not forget the ‘Mean Monster’ who gets off, off being pricked with needles…”
The crowd booed at this and Nathan continued on. “He must have loved talking and hearing himself in that abandoned broiler room that he may or may not call home. May, for he might have actually spontaneously ‘sprouted’ there. Or may not, cause he might have spontaneously ‘sprouted’ somewhere else gloomier. But the ‘point of the matter is’ Hardcore Comley…”
Nathan then paced around the ring frantically while he addressed the crowd. “I am not afraid of you! I have faced monsters scarier than you. Compared to those, you looked like a stuffed bear which was left behind by a kid who found you rather unpleasant. Compared to them, you are but a shadow that tries, but ultimately fails to be intimidating that you end up being a clown. If there would be one thing…” Nathan paused for effect.
“And one thing! That would set you apart? Then it would be that ugly mug of yours that we can’t seem to stand even from the start!”
Roars of cheers soon erupted inside the arena. Nathan for his part grinned and opened his arms wide and welcomed it all. When all settled down, Nathan continues to speak once more. “You said you’ll cause me pain? I say you bring you’re A-Game! Because this Sunday night, history will be made. You better oh hope! That you won’t be left on its wake. Tick tock tick tock? You sound like a broken clock. I’ll make sure that when I am done with you, you’ll be knocked out like a rock. When the time comes and final bell rings, I’ll be up on top of you flashing all my blings.”
The crowd was ecstatic at this point. Frank could only shake his head in disappointment while Steve smiled in a satisfied smile from the commentator’s table.
“You are looking at the future, Hardcore Compley! But the only question is…”
And with a breath, determination lit Nathan Harris’ eyes. His countenance shifted into a being worthy of the squared circle. Worth of the title ‘superstar’.
“If you can beat me?”
And with that, Nathan Harris’ them blared once more on the P.A. System as the crowd once more erupted in the a frenzy. Applause and cheers resounded in the arena that it almost drowned out the theme that played.
“And there you have it folks! Bold claims from this young superstar Nathan Harris. We’ll be right back!” Steve commentated as the scene draws a close.
