Match for an Angel

The camera comes on and the women's locker-room is visible. And a casual looking Angelique is busy getting out her gear and laying it out in an orderly fashion on the benches. She has her long red hair tied back into a loose ponytail and is wearing casual sports gear after a long workout in the gym. There is a knock on the door and Cameron Miller steps into the room with a microphone in hand.

Cameron: Hello Angelique, I just wanted to see how you are feeling now your first RWF match has been announced? You vs Veronica Taylor.

Angelique looks up from the benches and smiles kindly at Cameron, 'Not the perfect time for my first interview' she thinks as she looks down at her clothes and pulls the hair tie out of her hair, releasing her long hair to fall down her back. She moves over to where Cameron is standing.

Angelique: Oh, hi. How am I feeling about the match?

Cameron nods and Angelique looks thoughtful for a moment as she is playing with a strand of her fiery red hair.

Angelique: Well.... I guess I'm excited. Yeah...

She says, nodding to herself, before realising she needs to come across a little more eloquent and confident. She smiles again before continuing.

Angelique: Yes, I'm excited to have my first match here in the RWF, and excited to show the fans exactly what I can do. It's also exciting that it's the first ever Diva match here, I'm sure we can put on a fantastic show for you all.

Cameron nods reassuringly at Angelique, it is obvious to anyone that Angelique is nervous about her first match, Cameron felt for her, it was a nerve-wracking situation. 'Now to find out how she feels about her first opponent' Cameron thought.

Cameron: And, what do you think about Veronica's comments on last weeks show? She stated that you were not in the same league. How do you respond to that?

Angelique's smile fades and her forehead creases into a frown. She runs a hand through her hair and takes a deep breath before speaking again.

Angelique: I think it's not in dispute that Veronica is certainly an exceptional talent, her roles in previous companies prove that.

She pauses and tilts her head slightly, still frowning. She could feel the anger bubbling inside her.

Angelique: But, Veronica hasn't yet seen what I'm capable of, in fact no-one has. So for her to suggest that she is, as you put it Cameron, not in the same league, I find it a little laughable. When the dust settles after this match, we'll see who comes out on top.

Angelique looks angry now, and it has taken Cameron by surprise a little. Angelique notices this and smirks.

Angelique: Ah see, everyone thinks I'm just so nice....and they are right, I am, but when it comes to that squared circle...I'm all business and I can get it done with the best of them.

Angelique grins broadly, feeling her confidence growing with every second. She was right, no one except her trainers had seen her in the ring, this Veronica may have experience but Angelique was sure that she could go toe to toe with anyone, and she had the element of surprise.

Angelique: As Veronica Taylor is going to find out.

She turns and walks back to the benches as Cameron faces the camera.

Cameron: Well there we have it folks, looks like we're set for an exciting match.
