RWF PPV – Insurrection 1st Promotional Role-play Start
Nathan Harris was training in the gym. He just won the triple threat match against Mimic and William Frost to earn the number one contender spot at Insurrection against Xavier Serikaz for the RWF Television Title. As he worked-out, Nathan thought about the match. What he did right, what he did wrong, or what he didn’t do at all that would have helped him. All this ran through his mind as he criticized himself. That previous match was hard. Definitely harder than the first two matches he had and knowing who his next opponent was, he could only assume it would only become much harder. Much, much more…
Xavier Serikaz, that man had guts if not a bit too much of. He was a champion of some other promotion before he joined the RWF. And again in RWF, he won the RWF Television Championship. The guy could be considered a legend. The only thing they had in common was that they both fought and lost to Alex The Great.
Even with an injury, Nathan knew that Xavier would likely press on with the match. Now there’s a thought. Maybe he could exploit the injury? Should he? Logically thinking, one should aim for such weak points so as to get an upper-hand. But was it a moral thing to do? That was something that is up for debate. In a world where the competition is tough and tougher, such things as being “moral” are blurred.
Nathan Harris placed the dumb bells on the floor as he finished his routine. He tried to even out his breathing and focused. If there was one thing for certain, his match with Xavier Serikaz would be huge. This would mark his second Pay-Per-View and a title match no less.
Nathan then dried his face and proceeded to the shower room. He has a press conference to attend to in while and that was something that he cannot miss. He parked all thoughts of his match for the moment. He needs to look presentable.
At the press conference Nathan Harris couldn't help but feel tired. He had to do a few autograph signing which brought a smile on his face. He never knew he had so many fans! If ever, that would have been the highlight of his day. And now he finds himself behind a long table with both fans and reporters on front of him. The press conference had ran for about at least forty-five minutes now and it was a roller-coaster ride if he could be honest. He had to answer a few questions already with some ranging from normal one like “what he did before RWF” or “what was his workout routine” to something silly like “what was his favorite color” or “if he wore same colored underwear as his favorite color”.
All in all, it was fun if not a bit tiring.
Nathan Harris was brought out from his thoughts when he heard one of the RWF Conference Staff spoke. “We now only have time for one more question for Mr. Nathan Harris.”
A few hands were raised and Nathan knew that this was his queue to pick the deemed “last” question. He settled his eyes on a beautiful blonde reporter whom he knew was not there a while ago. He almost memorized all the faces in front of him since he sat with them for a few minutes now. The woman he picked was not there before. That or he might have just missed her.
”Sandra Walker. If I may ask, you Mr. Nathan Harris is something like of a face in the RWF and a few weeks prior was pitted against Alex The Great, current RWF World Heavy Weight Champion and you, if I may be blunt, were destroyed by Mr. Alex when you claimed or should I say rhymed that you would win. The question now is that since you are again pitted against a champion are we to expect the same result?” she finished with what appeared to be a smug grin.
Nathan Harris for his part was a bit annoyed. Well, you can’t win them all he mused. Still, that was something of a low blow but hey, all is fair in love and war. And so, Nathan Harris took a deep breath and held his head high. It was a question and question needed to be answered.
“Well you miss… Sandra was it?” he questioned which he received what appeared to be an annoyed nod which almost made Nathan grin.
“You see Ms. Sandra, I won’t make an excuse. I was, as you put it, destroyed by Alex when it was but a normal match. I won’t sugar coat it but I can be sure as hell promise you that when we meet, if we do meet again, that things would be different. I am not saying I will win, but I’ll make sure I won’t get destroyed on the get go. Especially when I have fans like you who seemed devastated at my showing.” he continued which made the people in the conference hall laugh. This however seemed to annoy the reporter more and was about to retort but was halted from doing so when Nathan put his right hand up.
It was subtle but the shift in the atmosphere can be felt and it was all centered on Nathan Harris. His eyes that were tired, blazed back to life and his countenance changed into one of seriousness. “I won’t promise a victory. We all know where that lead to. But I can assure you that I would give it my all, from the start of that bell till the one-two-three. Each and every one of you could bet that you would experience something that you have never before. Insurrection would be a night to remember, I’ll make sure that it would roar. I’ll be coming there full throttle from the get-go. Like a muscle car with roarin turbo. So I can definitely say that you do not expect the same result. Cause to the fans that would be a grave insult.”
Nathan Harris then closed his eyes for a moment and he took a deep breath. When he opened them, the intensity that was before reached a new level and the room became quiet. “When Insurrection rolls, I have but one goal. And that is to win that title with everything I got. Nothing more, nothing less.”
And with those words, the press-conference ended. But one thing is for sure. Insurrection just got more interesting.
