Slash and Scream had just finished a congratulatory meeting with the Chairman and President of the company on getting the highest rated matches of the night and we're coming out of the elevator into the lobby when they heard a familiar voice coming from a hallway to their right.
Interviewer: "Hey guys! Me again! Not to bother you, just wondering if I could get a statement on your v-"
The interviewer stops speaking when Scream and Slash actually stop and turn to him, Slash's hand up in a "stop talking" manner as they do so. The interviewer looked somewhat frightened, even though they had shown no signs of aggression toward him so far, he didn't want it to start.
Slash: "You wanna know what we have to say about our victories, correct?"
The asks in his calm and soothing, accented voice (like Bane from the newest Batman). The interviewer nods and starts to speak again but before he can get a word out Slash speaks over him.
Slash: "And, you would like to know our opinions on our opponents for this... tournament."
The interviewer stands there kinda creeped out, and nods slowly in reply to Slash's comments.
Slash: "Don't be so frightened. I don't read minds, you're just predictable. Much like my opponent Saturday was. Charles Gavrilidis, was it?"
Interviewer: "Chris, sir. Chris Gavrilidis, was his name."
Slash looks at the interviewer displeased for a second, before nodding slowly.
Slash: "Ah yes, Chris."
He says shaking his head.
Slash: "Chris was rather disappointing. Yes, he fought back. Yes, he got in his few comments. But, in the end we all watched his foundation turn to rubble. And you know why? Because, I used his fear against him. Not his fear of me necessarily, but his fear of losing."
Slash uses his right hand to pull his silver hair from his face, and slicks it down the back of his head and down to his neck. He then, reaches into his pocket and pulls out a coin. It's a faded golden color. On one side there is a king sitting atop a throne and on the other it's just blank.
Slash: "You see In the back of every wrestler's mind there is a choice."
Slash begins flipping the coin between his fingers, going from this thumb down to his pinky, then back up again and repeating this as he talks.
Slash: "A choice to fear a loss, or to take what you get and learn from it. This choice, although sounding like an easy and pretty simple choice, can be one that makes or breaks an entire career."
When the coin reaches his thumb this time he flips it up into the air about 2 feet high and then catches it and holds it out so that you can see the King side up.
Slash: "There are those who choose to learn and they become kings of the business. They become great, because instead of running from their weaknesses they learn from them and make those very weaknesses into their strengths."
Slash then flips the coin again, watching the coin intently and then snatches it out of the air and holds it out revealing the blank side now on top.
Slash: "Then, you have those who fear a loss. Who take it to heart. Who when faced with their fears, breakdown and fall apart. You wanna know what happens to these people?"
Slash then crushes the coin in his hand and as he slowly unravels his fist, all that falls out is what looks like dust, or a pale golden powder. He watches as it flutters down to the ground then slowly looks back up at the interviewer and whispers.
Slash: "They fall apart."
He then stands back to his full height and crosses his arms.
Slash: "I said all that, not only to get a point across to Chris, but to let my next opponent know, that I have learned from many mistakes. And I will NOT be making any here."
Slash's voice shows a small amount of intensity as he finishes the sentence, the first time we've seen this. He then walks away toward the locker room and the Interviewer stands there dumbfounded for a few seconds before turning to Scream who was standing with his arms crossed, the fingers on his left hands impatiently tapping on his right bicep as he waited. He spoke in his low growl, robotic voice (Urgot from League of Legends)
Scream: "William Frost, didn't believe me when I told him that I couldn't feel pain."
Scream stated as he unfolded his arms and began adjusting his right glove with his left hand.
Scream: "And look what became of him."
Scream finishes adjusting his right glove, then begins to adjust his left glove with his right hand.
Scream: "I consider Bryan Anderson to be even less of a threat than Frost."
He finishes and drops both arms down to his side and then rolls his neck from left to right and back, causing it to crack.
Scream: "So my statement for the up and coming match is..."
He brings his face in, inches away from the interviewer, who seems to shrink down in fear. The laser red, eyes of Scream's mask beaming down into the eyes of the interviewer as he bellows the next comment.
Scream: "Next."
He says the word as if to say "Ready for my next match" and then lets out a short laugh, which sounds terrifying because of his voice. He then shoulders by the interviewer and follows Slash's path down the hallway to the locker room. Leaving the interviewer wide-eyed. The interviewer brings his mic to his mouth as he turns to face the camera.
Interviewer: "Th-these two seem very confident, to say the least. S-Stay tuned for more Slash and Scream updates."
The interviewer then nods to the screen and turns to walk away as the camera shuts off.
